Art has always been my passion! I have collected paintings and drawings all my life and spent most of my free time visiting galleries and museums all across Europe. In 2020, after a first professional career in banking, I finally decided to take this passion to a next level and founded my own online gallery STEPHANE RENARD FINE ART. This virtual gallery presents my artworks in the most attractive way possible, in the spirit of a connoisseur's cabinet. Each artwork is accompanied by an essay in which I aim to put it in its historical and artistic context. I also offer the possibility of coming to see this collection by appointment at my place in Paris in the 16th arrondissement.
My period of predilection goes from the end of the Renaissance to Romanticism (1550-1800) but I do not exclude integrating works of later periods, and even modern art. I have chosen to remain a generalist, presenting an eclectic choice of favourite works and encounters. More than an era or a theme, I seek above all the quality of execution and emotion - to put it differently, a small place in the great History of Art.
